Mzuzu Coffee
Mzuzu Coffee Planters Cooperative Union is an apex organization that comprises 5 primary Coffee Cooperatives of Misuku, Phoka, Viphya North, South East Mzimba and Nkhata-Bay Highlands. More info.
Satemwa Tea Estate
Satemwa is a small privately owned company established in 1923, growing, processing and exporting coffee and a range of fair-trade certified insecticide free teas. Teas include rare artisanal white and black teas as well as other elegant oolong and ph-eur teas. Most of the tea is CTC type with an average of 2,500 tons black tea being produced per year. Satemwa prides itself on being able to tailor teas to a client's needs. More info.
Rab Processors Ltd
Rab Processors Limited was founded in 1983 by the Jakhura family, whose business activities in Malawi date back to 1922. The company is a leading player in the Agro Industry and specialises in exports of agricultural produce grown in Malawi and provision of farm inputs, which are key requirements for Malawi’s Agro Based economy besides production and distribution of a range of food products locally. In addition to having a wide range of value added products, the company sees itself as a key supplier in the region of basic food and non-food items. More info.
Dedza Pottery
Dedza Pottery was started, as a private business, in 1987 by Chris and Charity Stevens. Chris Stevens has been potting for over 30 years and came to Malawi in 1978 as a volunteer to begin Malindi Potteries which was the first pottery in Malawi to make glazed ware. From an initial workforce of 7 Paragon Ceramics now employ over 270 permanent members. More info.
Nichima Trust
The Nchima Trust is a small charity, originally founded in 1962 by the Gardiner family. The Trust has developed a strong focus on sponsoring education. In Malawi, the Nchima Trust has one or two unpaid volunteers who ensure that all funding is spent appropriately but no paid employees. More info.
NESMAC
The Neno Smallholder Macadamia Association (NESMAC) works with macadamia nut growers from Neno and the surrounding area. The large numbers of farmers involved in macadamia nut growing are organized in a system of democratic farmers' clubs. More info.
