Mzuzu Coffee Planters Cooperative Union is an apex organization that comprises 5 primary Coffee Cooperatives of Misuku, Phoka, Viphya North, South East Mzimba and Nkhata-Bay Highlands.
This came to effect on 1st April, of 2007. The decision to form Cooperatives was made by Coffee Growers after consultation meetings that took place between Government through the Privatization Commission and Coffee farmers.
